After numerous hours of training and racing, the body craves variety. To provide athletes with another sports nutrition option, CLIF created BLOKS Energy Chews, semi-solid, easy-to-chew sources of carbohydrates. Simple-to-handle and with a nutrition profile similar to CLIF SHOT Energy Gel, CLIF BLOKS Energy Chews complement the CLIF Athlete Series and CLIF products and provide athletes with another option for their sports nutrition program. 


CLIF BLOKS provide muscles with the carbohydrates they need. Consuming carbohydrates during activity enhances performance by providing working muscles with a continuous supply of energy. While the body can store a limited amount of carbohydrates as glycogen, the harder it works the faster it burns through these stored carbohydrates. If carbohydrates are consumed during activity, the body can sustain activity for a longer period of time.


Half a packet of CLIF BLOKS can be consumed 15 minutes prior to activity, followed by 1-2 packets per hour during activity. Consumption of CLIF BLOKS should always be followed with a mouthful of water.
