A Day in the Life
What exactly does a day in the life of PRO team member look like? As a small, family-owned business with big dreams, we've spent the past 18 years sharing our passion for running, our product expertise, and our own fitness journeys with customers. Our mission is to help everyone who walks through our doors find the perfect gear and feel welcomed into our vibrant community.
On any given day, you'll be fitting shoes, swapping running stories, offering advice, and constantly learning about the latest trends in the running world and the wide range of products we carry. It's a dynamic, rewarding environment where you're not just helping customers—you're building relationships and growing alongside a passionate team.
Beyond the Store
Did someone mention free shoes? We partner with some of the biggest and most innovative running brands in the world, including Nike, Brooks, Hoka, On, Saucony, and more. These brands trust us to be leaders in getting their products into the hands—and on the feet—of runners everywhere. As a result, our team regularly gets exclusive, complimentary access to the latest footwear and apparel, so we can stay ahead of the curve and provide the best advice to our customers.
And it doesn't stop there—our employees have even enjoyed all-expenses-paid trips across the country to run, learn, and grow with these national brands, bringing back valuable knowledge and firsthand experience to share with the PRO community.
Get Paid to Run
What makes our run specialty store truly special is our incredible team and the deep connections we have within the community. With four weekly group runs, there are plenty of opportunities to lead events, participate in races and expos, and even do fun things like handing out Nuun shots at a 5K in downtown Milwaukee.
Our mission is simple: to make people’s soles happy—and that includes our employees. We strive to offer flexible scheduling and support for those with families, so you can balance work with your passion. If running brought you here, we want to ensure you still have time to enjoy your hobby while inspiring others to move and reach their goals.
Feel Good About Your Career
We sell running shoes and apparel, but there’s so much more to each well-worn pair than just a price tag. Our PRO staff is made up of professionals who’ve transitioned from careers in teaching, athletic training, social work, and more. We're proud to have a team of individuals who chose to align their values, passion, and time with their work.
Beyond our retail focus, PRO is involved in charity events and community outreach, working to provide shoes for those in need. And while helping others is at the core of what we do, we also offer plenty of opportunities for personal and professional growth, both within the company and beyond.
