The Perfect Fit is Waiting
What's a gait analysis?
A gait analysis evaluates how you walk or run so we can better understand how your body moves. At Performance Running Outfitters, this is a complimentary process that helps our team see how your feet, ankles, and legs work together and recommend shoes that best match your stride and needs.
Because the right shoes are key to both comfort and performance, we focus on finding the best fit for you. Our process begins with a few questions about your current activity level, any past or present injuries, and your goals. If you bring your old shoes, we will also look at the wear pattern and talk about what you liked or disliked about them.
Next, we measure your feet and observe how you walk. Once we determine your foot type, we will take you to the treadmill to evaluate your gait and form. This helps us select shoes that provide the best combination of comfort and performance!
Volumental Foot Scanner
The Volumental Foot Scanner is a 3D scanning system that quickly measures the size and shape of your feet. In just a few seconds, it captures detailed data such as length, width, arch height, and foot volume.
This information helps our team find shoes that match your exact foot shape, improving fit, comfort, and overall performance while reducing the guesswork in choosing the right pair.
Bra Fittings
A well-fitting sports bra is just as important as a good running shoe. Did you know that 60–80% of women wear the wrong size? Changes in your body—like weight fluctuations, pregnancy, or breastfeeding—can affect your breast size and shape over time.
Sports bras typically last 6–12 months, as fabric and elastic wear down with regular use and washing. If it’s time for an update, stop by for a professional bra fitting to find your perfect fit.
FAQ
Experiencing new aches or pains? Have your shoes logged 300–500 miles or more? Notice worn-down tread or uneven wear on the soles? These are all signs that it’s probably time to replace your running or walking shoes to keep your feet comfortable and supported.
Sports bras should generally be replaced every 6 to 12 months, depending on how often you wear and wash them. Over time, the elastic and fabric lose their support, which can reduce comfort and effectiveness.
Signs it’s time for a new one include:
- The bra feels loose or stretched out
- Straps start slipping or digging in
- The band no longer stays snug
- Fabric is worn, pilling, or fraying
Replacing your sports bra regularly helps maintain proper support, comfort, and protection during activity.
Nope! You can stop by one of our 4 locations anytime for a free gait analysis. These usually take 10–20 minutes from start to finish. This includes discussing your goals and history, observing your walk or run, taking measurements, and sometimes using video or treadmill assessment.
